When I work with couples, I am constantly searching for those real moments. They may be tiny flashes of joy that happen in a split second, or details that others may overlook, but they tell a fundamentally vital part of your story.
And the feeling I get when I just know I’ve found these moments that matter most — there’s nothing like it. Especially knowing I can share these images with you, and that they’ll become a part of your legacy.
Picture it: Montana, age 14. My dad, recognizing my love for photography, entrusted me with a camera to document the whole trip. Not just a few posed family photos, but everything. Fishing, riding horses, making memories.
With a camera in my hands, I interacted with the world in a whole new way, and noticed things I never had before.
Age 14 was over a decade ago, but I’ve been drawn to documenting real moments ever since. I earned my BFA in graphic design, and after spending some time in the publication design world, began working with wedding photographers I admired. After moving from Georgia to Charleston, I’ve turned my focus to working with kind, genuine couples across coastal South Carolina and Georgia.
